24Poker Has License Revoked by Kahnawake Gaming Commission
On Monday, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission suspended the online poker license of Microgaming Network poker site 24Poker.com. The following is a statement from the KGC:
(MOHAWK TERRITORY OF KAHNAWAKE – November 24, 2011) – Citing several grounds, the Commission has issued a Notice of Immediate Suspension to BPR LIMITED (“BPR”), suspending the Client Provider Authorization held by BPR, effective 12:00 (noon) EST, November 24, 2011. The Commission has also issued to BPR a Show Cause Notice which provides a thirty (30) day show cause period.
The following gaming site, operated by BPR, is not authorized to operate until such time as the Commission re-instates BPR’s Client Provider Authorization:

While the KGC did not give an outright reason why they suspended the license, the site has been having cash out problems since September and users are unable to reach support or any part of management.
It appears that Microgaming and the KGC are having the same issues. The following was a statement from Microgaming:
“Microgaming today announced that all game play on the 24Poker website has been blocked due to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission suspending 24Poker’s gaming license. Both Microgaming and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission have tried without success to contact the 24 Poker Management Team. Further announcements will be made as additional information becomes available.”
The company is owned by BPRServices Ltd and its license was good until January 2012 before the suspension.
This comes just a few months after the suspension of Full Tilt Poker’s license by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission following the Black Friday indictments. The actions of management seem indicative of a site that may have run out of money and is trying to fly the coop on its players.
Full Tilt was recently sold to Groupe Bernard Tapie for $80 Million with the GBT agreeing to pay all non-US players the balance on their accounts.
Neither 24poker or BPRServices Ltd have commented on the suspension. We will bring you more on this story as details arise.
