The Habit
Contrary to what other people think, playing casino is not that addictive. The fact is, playing casino only becomes a problem if the person has in him the categorical impulse of obsessive gambling. As such, you have to be sure of your motives before playing casino. Are you in it for the sake of experience, of fun, or of hardcore gambling?
Starting to play casino as a hobby is not at all hard. There is a certain pleasure one can get from continuously playing slots, albeit the fact that one is losing. However, this hobby can and may eventually turn into an addiction if not regulated and moderated.
But playing casino developing itself into an addiction is not an overnight event. It is something that, as have been said, reinforces itself, given that the person is an already established or developing addict.
There’s a fine line between playing casino as a habit and playing casino as an addiction. The distinction has to be drawn early on so as to prevent potential backlashes to the person who, initially, is just someone interested in playing casino. The key word, then, is prevention.
