Poker players discipline themselves to act properly on the Poker table, especially since your emotion could go against you on the table. You should master how to control and discipline yourself and not to show excitement and disappointment accordingly.
Recklessness is one of the poker player’s mortal enemies, and you could only beat it once you have mustered enough self-discipline to think straight. Discipline lets you keep your cool.
Money Matters
It is said that great poker players are mighty businessmen. There are a lot of considerations to be pondered to get the most out of a poker game. Money is one of the most important considerations in poker.
Most might argue that being a great poker player is not all about money, but the love and respect of the game. This argument is valid in one sense, but when playing poker, money is still the measure that defines wining from losing, and as a consequence, a good poker player knows the value of every dollar that he/she bets on his/her hand.
Return of Investment (ROI) is a very important consideration, and all great poker players know how to manage their ROI. You don’t just bet on how good your cards are, but also on how good the odds are in making the most out of your bet.
