Getting out of Your Comfort Zone

Discussing items today on Poker Roundtable is Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Layne Flack and Jennifer Harman. The main focus on the video here has been when it is appropriate to get out of your comfort zone. Chris Ferguson was the first to weigh stating that it is important for people not to jump out of their comfort area. He approached this because players will end up many times spending too much money in one hand and then be stuck.

Jennifer Harman was on the other hand mentioning how getting out of your comfort zone can help your play. If you lose that big hand you can go back to be being conservative and keep grinding until you are back up.

Next up on the agenda was bringing up tournaments. When players enter a tournament there is going to be a time that you are going to have to get out of your comfort zone if you have a chance to win. The benefit of this is that you are not going to be risking your bankroll. Only thing on the line is the money in the tournament. They further discuss on how you will raise your game by playing in tournaments because people are more focused.

In the last part of the discussion they go over the pressures of the big matches. Layne Flack was discussing on how it was beneficial for him with the pressure. He noticed that he understood how they played more then his opponents understood him the first time at the final table.

Finally they went out to show that you need to get out of that comfort zone at times. They all seemed to enjoy the feeling and then further more embrace the concept. They all agreed that it was the best way to improve there games in the long run.
